Pickled Joan is perfect on a salad sandwich, as a pizza base, mix it with mayo for a delicious seafood sauce or enjoy with pies, sausage rolls, zucchini slice and quiches.
Pickled Joan is great on everything. Well maybe not cereal, that would be weird.
Originally crafted by Grandma Joan (who enjoyed a drink or two, probably to deal with her six screaming children and fourteen grandchildren), this family favourite is made with overripe juicy tomatoes, onions, and Grandma’s secret spice mix, all pickled to perfection.
Our head of production and business owner, Kirsty started making her Grandmothers pickles recipe after she passed away aged 90.
“It’s not something she gave away easily and kept the recipe close to her chest, not allowing us to try and replicate it until very late in her life. Grandma was a true character and a precious treasure to us all. I'm super proud to have created this small business and honour her memory.”
